Welcome

My professional work is centered on teaching students how to read deeply, think deliberately and write effectively. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy collaborations with my faculty colleagues to improve the conditions for student learning at Keene State College.

I envision my work in terms of practice: learning and growing with my students; designing courses and learning projects that release creativity, including my own; cultivating a beginner’s mind; involving myself in generative thinking about ideas and practices within, and beyond, the College; sharing ideas, stories, wisdom and experience; modeling health, growth, vitality, both body and mind; and giving back to the community in productive relationships with others, in collaboration with students, faculty, and staff, and through mentoring—these activities continue to define my professional practice, and contribute to my evolving professional identity.
